Whoooooh Slow Down
Last night, my husband and I were watching the food network. I love watching Good Eats, and Unwrapped, and just about any other show that is on that channel. Well Unwrapped showed the $1,000.00 sundae. My husband and I started joking about it.
What we were joking about was the fact that I eat so fast, that I would eat through the Sundae with out even knowing that it was gone. That started going through my head, and made me think. It was so true I do eat very fast.
As a mother, and many mothers know that to eat, you have to eat quickly. But trying to lose weight the opposite is true. That leaves the question, how can you find a way to eat slower and still do everything that needs to be done as a mother?
I know what is holding me back from part of my weight loss is the fact that I over eat. Over eating is very easy to do. I need to figure out a way to stop over eating and start eating healthy. To do this I need to learn how to do something very easy, eat slowly.
Did you know that it takes about 20 minutes before you stomach will register that it is full, and that is 20 minutes that it becomes easy to over eat. That is just simply amazing, that it is so easy to over eat. So the question is then, how do you change this, how do you slow down?
Once you slow down your eating, losing weight becomes easier because you are not going to eat as much. Not to mention, when you slow down, you can actually taste the food that you are eating.
